El uso de hidralazina ha sido asociada con el desarrollo de lupus eritematoso sistémico y como lupus síndromes, así como la exacerbación de la enfermedad. La hidralazina la terapia debe suspenderse en los pacientes que experimentan un empeoramiento de la preexistente lupus. Monitoreo de conteos sanguíneos completos, y los títulos de anticuerpos antinucleares antes y durante la terapia prolongada se recomienda.
