La ceftriaxona es eliminado por ambos renal y la excreción hepatobiliar. A las dosis habituales (es decir, de 1 a 2 g/día), los ajustes, generalmente no es necesario, ya sea en insuficiencia renal o hepatobiliar deterioro. Sin embargo, el suero concentraciones de la droga debe ser monitoreada periódicamente, y la disminución de la dosis en consecuencia, si la acumulación del fármaco se produce. En pacientes con insuficiencia hepática y grave insuficiencia renal, la dosis de ceftriaxona no debe superar los 2 gramos por día sin una estrecha monitorización de las concentraciones séricas.
