Consumidor:

Tetraciclinas (excepto doxiciclina) son eliminados por el riñón a diversos medida. Los pacientes con insuficiencia renal pueden estar en mayor riesgo de tetraciclina asociada a insuficiencia hepática y/o toxicidad renal (aumento de BUN, con la consiguiente azotemia, hiperfosfatemia, y acidosis) debido a la disminución de la eliminación del fármaco. La terapia con tetraciclinas debe ser administrado con cautela en la reducción de las dosis en pacientes con insuficiencia renal. La vigilancia clínica de la función renal y hepática, se recomienda, y el suero de la tetraciclina niveles pueden ser necesarios durante el tratamiento prolongado.
